At the March 14th meeting, our speaker was Rotarian Dallas Kenny, UNK Director of International Education.

Dallas has a doctoral degree in Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.  He worked as a reference librarian at the University of United Arab Emirates in Dubai.  He later served as the associate provost for Global Education and director of the Foreign Language Technology Center at Wayne State University in Detroit.  Before coming to UNK, Dallas worked as associate vice president for Global Programs at St. John's University in Queens, N.Y.

Dallas gave a very timely and interesting program about Egypt, its political history and his perspectives about the recent uprising.
